Temporary Power Generation for West Texas Gas Processing Facility
Industry
Gas Processing Facility, Electric Gas Compression and Temporary Mobile Microgrid
Location
Martin, County Texas
Major Gas Processing Plant Operator in Martin County, Texas, required short-term mobile power generation to address reliability challenges with facility power infrastructure. Over a 6-month period while repairs we’re made to their electrical infrastructure, the client selected Accelerated Mobile Power’s (AMP) Turnkey Contract Power Service offering to provide continuous operations of electricity delivery to their critical infrastructure. The Temporary Industrial Mobile Microgrid generates electricity while providing 99.8% reliability and availability through a DT35 mobile gas turbine generator, which utilizes an LM2500+G4 aero derivative engine, rated for 35MW at ISO conditions. Within 13-days (initial call to asset deployment) AMP delivered a turnkey solution and began operations, providing baseload generation 14-hours following arrival on site. The mobile turbine generator operates at baseload of 25MW to 35MW feeding the gas processing trains which generate 500MMFC/Day of take away capacity throughout the West Texas region and classified as critical infrastructure. AMP’s fleet of proven hyper mobile aero derivative gas turbine generators utilize a 2-trailer design installs and commissions on site without the use of cranes or heavy lifting equipment and requires minimal onsite staff to deliver efficient and reliable natural gas-based power generation behind the meter.

AMP Turnkey Contract Power Service Solution
- AMP fleet of DT35 hyper mobile gas turbine generators was selected to support the customers temporary power generation needs for their industrial microgrid. The DT35 utilizes a power dense 2-trailer design, capable of being transported without special width, height or escort permits to deploy in very compact locations. Upon arrival on site to start of operations typical time required is 14-hours from park to power
- Utilizing the most referenced prime mover in it’s class, the LM2500+G4 aero derivative simple-cycle gas turbine generator, AMP’s fleet of DT35 generators are capable of continuous duty operation up to 35MW at ISO conditions.
- The DT35 is in a class of it’s own referred to as hyper mobile. The power dense design is capable of transport via an over the road tractor, requires no cranes, forklift or specialty equipment for installation or decommissioning. The auto-level system ensures package alignment of power turbine trailer to air handling trailer is seamless and exact every time
- With over 3000+ installations globally, the LM2500 engine platform delivers best-in-class efficiency of 39%, 99% reliability requiring minimal maintenance and capable of 8760 (hours per year) operations for demanding critical infrastructure. The shared aero derivative engine design utilized in wide body airplanes, provides unparalleled reliability in extreme conditions
- Sound borne package noise is <85dBA, space claim of 2-trailer design is a power dense 2,239 sq. ft. and integrated mechanical exhaust stack is lifted in place through electric powered hydraulic cylinders eliminating the need for external components and lifting hardware.
